Registered Nurse (RN) Progressive Care Unit Location: [Location not specified]
This position involves providing advanced nursing care to patients in a Progressive Care Unit setting. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for a diverse patient population, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and professional standards of nursing practice. The role emphasizes patient-centered care, interdisciplinary collaboration, and continuous quality improvement.
Job Details
- Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Must possess a current, valid RN license in the state of practice, or a temporary/interim RN license, or compact RN licensure for the current state of practice. BLS certification is required. Experience in the clinical area for which the candidate is applying is desired. Clinical performance competencies must be maintained through annual validations. Minimum of one year experience in an acute care hospital setting within the past 12 months is preferred.
- Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shift hours, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: The RN assesses patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs. Formulates and revises a plan of care, including discharge planning, based on assessment data and input from the patient, family, and healthcare team. Implements the care plan through direct patient care, delegation, and supervision of activities of the healthcare team. Evaluates patient responses to care and updates the plan accordingly. Documents all assessments, care activities, and patient responses accurately and timely. Provides care based on the best available evidence and supports unit and facility quality initiatives. May participate in research activities within clinical practice, and in some roles, supervise staff and workflow. Ensures all functions are performed according to established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Interacts with all levels of staff, physicians, patients, families, and external contacts to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
