Ambulatory Care Medical Surgical Skilled Nurse Location: Not Specified. Job Details

  • Position Description: The Clinical Nurse (CN) is a registered nurse (RN) who provides hands-on care to patients, performing all steps of the nursing process, including assessment, data interpretation, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care. The CN partners with the patient's family to deliver family-centered care, monitors the quality of nursing services, and supports their own professional development, including licensure, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and current knowledge of their patient population.
  • Required Qualifications: California RN license, current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification, bachelors degree in nursing preferred, experience in ambulatory care or medical-surgical nursing preferred, and ability to communicate effectively in English.
  • Schedule: Days shift; 8 hours per shift, 40 hours per week.
  • Additional Information: The RN will create a healing environment by providing emotional support, managing patient discomforts, and guiding patients and families through illness and recovery phases. They will implement and evaluate nursing and medical interventions, teach self-care and illness prevention, and contribute to team building and professional growth.
