Job Summary
ThedaCare Waupaca is seeking an ICU (Intensive Care Unit) RN in Waupaca, WI. This position involves providing high-quality patient care during 12-hour night shifts in a Level IV Trauma Center, with a focus on stepdown and med/surg patient needs. The role offers an opportunity to work in a rural hospital environment with higher acuity care than traditional ICU settings.

Job Details

• Position Description: Stepdown ICU RN - 12 hr Nights at ThedaCare Waupaca. Prior travel experience is preferred. Candidates must be from facilities located beyond 50 miles of ThedaCare Corporate Center in Neenah, WI.
• Required Qualifications: WI RN License, AHA BLS, NIHSS, Bachelor's Degree, 1-2+ years of experience, stepdown experience strongly preferred, comfortable with patients on drips, critical access experience preferred, charting experience within the last year using EPIC.
• Schedule: Nights, 12 hours per shift, guaranteed 36 hours per week. Shift start time is 7 p.m. and the shift ends at 7 a.m.
• Additional Information: The unit is a 20-bed stepdown/med-surg with higher acuity than standard ICU. Patient ratios are typically 1:5 but can rise to 1:7 during busy periods. Scrubs are black. The unit requires availability for every other weekend, holiday rotation, and minimal float to other facilities within a 60-mile radius.
• Submission Requirements: Candidates must hold a current WI RN license and be able to meet the shift and schedule demands for the duration of the contract.
