Operating Room (OR) Surgical Technician in Iowa. Job Details

• Position Description: As a member of the interdisciplinary team, the traveler contributes professional and clinical knowledge in the provision and management of care to patients. The traveler may be asked to float within the same discipline across local campuses.
• Required Qualifications: Iowa license, BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), 2 years of experience, Drivers License, work history/resume, skills checklist completed within 1 year, license verification, copy of required certifications, supervisory reference.
• Schedule: Day shifts, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Mandatory orientation schedule begins on August 31 and September 14, with subsequent sessions through December. The role involves patient ratios of 3:1, supporting outpatient surgeries and infusion patients, with some titrations. The position requires a taxable address outside of 50 miles from the facility. Certifications required include BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA).
• Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA).
• State Licenses: Iowa.
• Experience: 0 years minimum required.
• Type of Surgery: Outpatient surgeries and infusion patients, infusion meds, some titrations (Blood, Platelets, IVIG, IV fluids, Antibiotics, no chemotherapy).
• Additional notes: Experience with EPIC EMR system is required, and candidates must be AED and mandatory reporter compliant. Candidates should have valid drivers licenses and be able to fulfill a schedule that may include weekend and holiday on-call coverage.
