Job Summary

Labor and Delivery Nurse Location: Not Specified. This position involves providing comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Labor and Delivery Department. The role requires assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care to ensure optimal outcomes during childbirth and postpartum periods.

Job Details

• Position Description: This role assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and standards of professional nursing practice. It involves utilizing specialized knowledge and judgment to deliver appropriate care based on the physical and developmental age of the patients.
• Required Qualifications: Must possess a current, valid RN license in the state of practice, or a temporary/interim RN license, or a compact RN licensure for the current state of practice. BLS certification is required. Experience in the clinical area is preferred. Must maintain clinical performance competencies demonstrated through annual validations. Experience in an acute care hospital setting within the past 12 months is required.
• Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: The role includes participating in multidisciplinary team care, documenting in the patient record, and providing patient and family education. Supervisory responsibilities are not included in this position.
