Job Summary
Labor and Delivery Nurse (L&D) Nights Aspirus Divine Savior Hospital, Wisconsin. This position involves providing specialized care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum in a Level 1 maternity and nursery setting. The role requires a skilled nurse capable of managing high variability in patient census and delivering compassionate, efficient care within a busy OB department.

Job Details

• Certifications: BLS, Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license; preferred certifications include AHA or ARC certifications and Pediatrics Advanced Life Support (PALS).
• Education Requirements: Associate Degree or Certificate; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Location Requirements: Must be a licensed RN in Wisconsin.
• Experience Requirements: Minimum of 2 years of OB experience with Labor and Delivery (L&D). Critical access hospital experience highly preferred.
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week.
• Responsibilities include managing labor and postpartum patients, providing newborn nursery care, adhering to AWHONN guidelines, and collaborating within a team. The unit comprises two labor rooms and six postpartum beds, with an average of 10 deliveries per month. Nurses may be required to float to other Aspirus locations in the region if needed.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The role requires proficiency in EPIC charting. Candidates should exhibit resilience, teamwork, confidence, and assertiveness, with the ability to manage change well. On-call duties may be assigned during low census periods with minimum callback hours, and adherence to flu and COVID vaccination policies is mandatory during flu season.
