Job Summary
Medical Surgical Nurse, Pediatric Focus, Night Shift This position involves providing high-quality care to adult and pediatric patients in a designated medical surgical unit. The role requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Job Details
- Position Description: Provides nursing care to adult and pediatric patients with common diagnoses such as UTI, altered mental status, pneumonia, and COPD within a 17-bed unit.
- Certifications Required: BLS, PALS
- Education and Experience: Current licensure, at least 1 year of nursing experience relevant to the role
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Additional Information: The unit maintains a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4 during the day and 1:5 at night. It features on-call pediatricians, telemonitoring, and a focus on teamwork and communication for success. Floats to Emergency Department or Intensive Care Unit for 1:1 patient care as needed.
- Submission Requirements: Must submit licensure and certifications to be considered.
