Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse - Location: Not Specified. This position involves providing advanced emergency care in a Level I Trauma Center. The role requires working in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment to manage trauma, sepsis, chest pain, shortness of breath, strokes, and other critical conditions, with shifts primarily during nights.
Job Details
- Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC; NRP preferred.
- Education and Experience: Valid RN license with at least 2 years of ER experience required.
- Location Requirements: Must have a valid drivers license.
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Clinical Responsibilities: Provide care for trauma, sepsis, chest pain, strokes, and other emergency conditions; interpret cardiac strips; manage high patient acuity with a ratio of 1:4 in zones, 1:6 in Fast Track, 1:5 in OBS, and 1:1 in ICU/Trauma.
- Additional Notes: Requires passing a pass/fail exam during orientation with a minimum score of 90%. Prohibits artificial nails in patient care areas; candidates cannot be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any organization associated with the organization.
