Job Details

• Position: RN in the Step Down Unit at night shift, working 12-hour shifts with a minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 10/26/2026, and ending on 03/15/2027.
• Certifications Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS).
• Education & Experience: Must have a minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a similar setting, with experience working on a step down or telemetry unit preferred; no specific advanced degrees required.
• Clinical Responsibilities: Manage patient care involving cardiac conditions, including pre/post catheterizations, NSTEMIs, CHF, COPD, and other complex medical cases; titrate drip medications such as insulin, heparin, nitro, and diltiazem; monitor cardiac rhythms independently using telemetry systems; and collaborate with team members to deliver patient-centric care.
• Schedule & Float: No self-scheduling; shifts include 0700-1900, 1100-2300, and 1900-0700, with weekend and holiday rotations. Staff may float to other Medical/Surgical floors or outside specialties as needed to ensure optimal staffing levels.
• Additional details: Staff are responsible for clocking in and out at the facility, and orientation includes a 12-hour day off-unit session plus 12-hour on-unit training. Previous experience with the organization must have an end date at least 6 months prior to submission.
