Job Summary
ICU Registered Nurse (RN) Schedule: Days, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week. This role involves providing specialized care in multiple ICU units within a healthcare facility, catering to geriatric, orthopedics, post-procedural, and cardiac patient populations. The position requires the ability to manage titratable drips, interpret monitor strips, and effectively coordinate with a multidisciplinary team.
Job Details
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS. Education and experience: Associate degree or higher in Nursing; valid RN license; minimum 2 years of ICU experience.
- Schedule: Days, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Responsibilities include caring for geriatric and orthopedic patients, managing post-procedural care, and responding to critical events in ICU settings.
- Must be comfortable managing titratable and set rate drips including Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Insulin.
- Must pass a dysrhythmia exam with a minimum score of 80% prior to signing the contract.
- Shift includes every other holiday and rotation in the permanent staff schedule; will be notified 2 hours prior to shift start via text message.
- The unit utilizes monitor techs and nurse aides; nurses interpret strips and coordinate patient care accordingly.
- Experience in ICU setting preferred; candidates must demonstrate proficiency in managing acute patient care and complex monitoring systems.
- Vaccination and licensing requirements are in accordance with each state's regulatory standards.
