Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Open Heart Nurse / Cardiovascular Operating Room Tech (CVOR Tech) Located at the organizations healthcare facility. This position involves supporting cardiac surgeries, including coronary artery bypass grafts and valve replacements, with responsibilities extending to other services when needed. The role requires reliability and flexibility, including the ability to take call and work weekends as assigned.

Job Details

• Position Description: The CVOR Tech will assist in cardiac procedures such as open heart surgeries, with an average of two open-heart cases and two cardio thoracic procedures weekly. Responsible for scrubbing on various services outside of cardiac cases when necessary.
• Required Qualifications: Certified Cardiovascular Operating Room Tech or equivalent, healthcare provider with cardiac surgical experience preferred, 2 years of CVOR experience required, candidates must be located within commuting distance, and at least 0 years of experience.
• Schedule: Days shift, 10-hour shifts, minimum 40 hours per week. The assignment begins on 09/08/2026 and runs through 12/05/2026.
• Additional Information: Must be able to take call after shifts and on weekends, with the expectation that call responses are minimal. Flexibility for weekend shifts and non-traditional hours is required. Ability to scrub on other services when cardiac cases are not scheduled is essential. Candidates with trauma and robotic surgery experience are preferred.
