Job Summary
The Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position is located at a healthcare facility. This role involves providing specialized nursing care for cardiac step-down patients, including heart cath recovery, post-op open-heart patients, and other cardiac/medical-surgical step-down cases. The RN is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care during day shifts, with specific experience in open-heart and Epic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems required.

Job Details

• Position: Registered Nurse (RN) Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), minimum of 3 years of cardiac step-down experience including heart cath recovery, post-op open-heart, and other cardiac/med-surg step-down patients, experience with open-heart procedures, Epic EMR experience, and comfort caring for ventilated patients if needed.
• Additional qualifications include experience with ventilated patients, and the ability to float to other units in times of low volumes or staffing needs (float rotation may be required).
• Candidates must be available to start on 09/21/2026 with the end date of 12/21/2026, and RTO (Request for Time Off) details must be included at submission.
• This role may require occasional coverage of a rare call day but does not require regular on-call duties.
• The facility reserves the right to cancel hours based on census and staffing without obligation to extend beyond the contract period.
