Job Summary
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Department Nurse in an acute care facility. This role involves providing high-quality obstetric care for high-risk patients, including those with C-sections and postpartum needs. The position requires a strong focus on patient assessment, customer service, and fast-paced clinical care.

Job Details

• Shift: Days, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid license to submit, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (American Heart Association), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), minimum 2 years of related experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with high-risk obstetric patients, knowledge of electronic charting systems such as Epic, and customer-service orientation.
• Responsibilities include performing full assessments, managing high-risk obstetric cases, and ensuring patient safety during labor and delivery.
• Additional Information: Nurses are responsible for their own exams and assessments; cannot insert intrauterine pressure catheters (IUPCs); unit operates with in-house hospitalist or intensivist coverage three nights a week; float rotation may be required, with tasking in obstetrics or nursery.
• Charting System: Epic.
• Schedule: Days, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week.
