Job Details

• Location: Medical City of Arlington, 3301 Matlock Road, Arlington, TX 76015
• Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Position Description: Responsible for delivering comprehensive nursing care in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) for patients requiring intermediate levels of monitoring and intervention.
• Required Qualifications: Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); one year of experience in a critical care or Progressive Care setting; current licensure for the state of Texas.
• Preferred Qualifications: Certifications in Progressive Care Nursing Certification (PCCN), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), and Trauma Care Certification (TCAR); experience in ICU or PCU level of care; precepting experience.
• Additional Information: The role involves performing procedures such as Foley and NGT insertions, wound care, and continuous pulse oximetry. The unit recently became the official trauma PCU for the hospital and emphasizes a flexible, supportive work culture with a focus on upskilling staff.
