Job Summary
Operating Room Open Heart RN Location: unspecified. This role involves providing specialized perioperative care for patients undergoing open heart and endovascular procedures within a healthcare facility. The position requires scrubbing into surgeries such as open heart, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), and thoracic cases, with a focus on assisting in complex cardiovascular operations.

Job Details

  • Position: Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) Open Heart
  • Specialty: Operating Room Open Heart
  • Schedule: Rotating shift from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, with negotiation flexibility; 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: BLS (American Heart Association) certification, ACLS preferred, California RN license or equivalent, and a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar setting.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Open Heart experience and/or Endovascular experience, scrubbing skills for cardiac and vascular procedures.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Scrubbing into surgeries, assisting with case hold, helping close the chest, and cooperating with charge nurses and OR techs.
  • Schedule Notes: Availability for one weekday call per week and one weekend per month (Friday through Sunday) on rotation with staff; flexibility for float assignments to General Operating Room if no CVOR cases are scheduled.
  • Shift & Location Notes: Shift hours are from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, with a call response time of 30 minutes. Candidates must be in state for the week of orientation.
  • Charting System: EPIC electronic medical record system.
  • Licensing: Valid license to submit upon application.
