Job Summary
The organization is seeking a Telemetry Medical Surgical Float Nurse for a night shift assignment in Colorado Springs, CO. This role involves providing patient care across multiple units, with variability in unit assignments, and requires flexibility to float within a designated zone. The position emphasizes supporting a range of adult patient populations in a dynamic clinical environment.

Job Details

  • Position: Telemetry Medical Surgical Float Nurse Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS); at least 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical Telemetry or similar specialty; minimum of 1 year of experience in Telemetry.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience with neuro patients.
  • Responsibilities: Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult patients, including those with cardiac, neurological, orthopedic, oncology, renal, urology, gynecology, psychiatric, and detox populations. Flexibility to float into multiple units within Zone 1, which includes several hospitals within Colorado Springs and Pueblo, CO.
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required at the time of submission.
  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with 6-9 weekend shifts in a six-week schedule. All time off requests must be submitted before the start of the assignment.
  • Additional Information: Must be in state for week of orientation, which may include remote modules. No home facility assignment; candidates must be at least 60 miles from each facility within Zone 1, which covers multiple hospitals around Colorado Springs, CO. Candidates are expected to assist with gaps in permanent staffing schedules and support a varied patient acuity level, including low acuity ICU holds and step-down units.
