Job Summary
A Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) registered nurse is needed in the area. This role involves maintaining the respiratory and cardiac status of patients awakening from anesthesia, with responsibilities including patient assessment, medication administration, treatments, and responding to alarms. The position requires ongoing evaluation and adjustment of patient care plans to ensure safety and comfort.

- Position Description:
This role maintains adequate respiratory and cardiac status of patients awakening from anesthesia. Continually assesses the patient, carries out doctor's orders while maintaining patient safety and comfort. - Responsibilities:
- Regularly assesses patients' needs and provides skilled nursing services as prescribed by the physician's authorized plan of care, and accepted standards of nursing practice.
- Provides direct resident care, including medication administration, treatments, call lights, assisting with transfers, responding to alarms, etc.
- Evaluates the effectiveness of the treatment plan and collaborates with the team to update or revise the plan to improve patient care.
- Processes physician/provider orders and performs care accurately, completely, and timely.
- Follows up regarding medication changes and order clarifications.
- Required Qualifications:
- Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA)
- Education: Valid Michigan (MI) nursing license, current skills checklist pertinent to the specialty (PACU)
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of PACU experience, with recent work history documented within the last year
- Schedule: Day shift, 12 hours shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Additional: Active NIHSS certification, possession of current Michigan license, and compliance with documentation requirements.

- On-call required every weekend, including holidays.
- Submission must include all required documentation: work history, skills checklist, active licenses, and certifications.
