Description
Job Summary
Telemetry (TELE) Nurse in a short-term acute care facility will primarily care for patients with neurological diagnoses, including post-surgical neurology patients and those with cerebrovascular accidents. The position involves floating between units and requires proficiency with the National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale and post-surgical neurological patient care.
Job Details
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.
- Education Requirements: Not specified.
- Location Requirements: Must hold a valid state license; compact license acceptable.
- Years of Experience: At least 1 year required.
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week.
- Responsibilities include management of neurology patients, interpretation of dysrhythmias, procedural sedation monitoring, and utilization of specialized equipment such as neural monitors and chest tubes.
- Experience with epic charting system is required.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Candidate must be available to work three of the five major holidays and submit all specific scheduling requests upfront.
- References: Two references covering at least one year (or six months for CNAs) within the last three years are required.
- Candidates should not directly contact facility contacts unless for an interview scheduled by the recruiter.
