Job Summary
Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse position available in a healthcare facility. The role involves coordinating and implementing patient care specific to the post-anesthesia recovery process, ensuring safety and quality standards are met. The position requires providing care within a fast-paced surgical environment.

Job Details

Location: Not specified (located at a healthcare facility)
Schedule: Days shift, 8:00 AM 6:30 PM, 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts; minimum of 40 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Current New Mexico Registered Nurse (RN) license or current Compact state RN license, current BLS (Basic Life Support) via American Heart Association (AHA), current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) via AHA, current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) via AHA, and applicable licensure and educational credentials.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) or related surgical recovery areas is advantageous.
Responsibilities: Obtain initial patient assessments, develop and implement individualized plans of care, perform point-of-care testing, reassess patient status, and participate in patient and family education and discharge planning.
Additional Information: Floating within surgical services required; must be able to work rotating shifts including weekends and one night call per week; EMR documentation using EPIC; professional dress code is graphite gray scrubs; start date is targeted for September 14, 2026, with assignment ending on December 12, 2026.
