Description
Job Summary:
Telemetry (TELE) nursing position located at a healthcare facility. This role involves providing specialized care to patients with cardiac conditions on a medical cardiac telemetry unit. It requires a dedicated professional capable of managing various cardiac diagnoses and utilizing telemetry monitoring technology.
Job Details:
- Certifications and Education: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required. Minimum of 2 years of experience in telemetry or similar medical cardiac care.
- Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) license, experience or skills in medical cardiac care, and ability to read ECG strips.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with common drips such as Amiodarone (Amio), Heparin (Hep), Insulin, and Cardizem.
- Additional Information: Unit-specific orientation lasts for 3 shifts. Nurses must float as needed. Virtual monitoring is used, and RNs are responsible for reading their own ECG strips. Scrub color is navy blue.
- Submission Requirements: Must hold a license to submit. No on-unit telemetry technicians; RNs handle monitoring and troubleshooting.
