Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor Nurse in Dallas This position involves providing direct patient care within a general medical-surgical unit. The role requires delivering quality nursing services in a fast-paced environment while adhering to hospital policies and maintaining a high standard of patient safety and comfort.
Job Details:
- Position Description: Travel Medical Surgical RN responsible for patient assessments, administering medications, and collaborating with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Location: 6 South area, within a healthcare facility that serves adult patients with diverse medical conditions requiring surgical and medical management.
- Unit Information: Contains 23 beds, staffed by 6 RNs and 1-2 PCTs per shift. The unit handles various acute care cases including general surgery, medical disorders, renal transplants, telemetry, neuro, and ortho.
- Type of Staff: Day and night shifts, with a typical staffing ratio of 1:5.
- Typical Procedures: General medical-surgical practices, patient assessments, medication administration, documentation, and patient education.
- Required Qualifications: Active BLS certification, valid RN license, current healthcare provider license, and at least 0 years of experience.
- Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week. Position start date is 09/22/2026 with an end date of 12/22/2026.
- Additional Information: Must have BLS certification. Floating to other acute care areas may be required. The shift schedule includes four weekend shifts per each four-week schedule period.
