Job Summary
ICU Registered Nurse (RN) Acute Care Nursing The healthcare provider is seeking experienced ICU RNs to join the team for a temporary assignment at a teaching healthcare facility. The role involves caring for high-acuity patients in a Medical-Surgical and Thoracic/Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit, requiring advanced clinical skills and the ability to work independently in a busy environment.

Job Details

  • Required Qualifications: Valid license to practice as an RN, ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications; experience in ICU for at least 3 years; recent hospital acute care experience in ICU; EPIC electronic medical record system experience within the last year; minimum of 3 years ICU experience for ICU assignments; the position is located in an acute care setting.
  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts, with shifts scheduled from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM; minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Additional Information: The unit has a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:1 to 1:3 depending on acuity, with common diagnoses including respiratory failure, ARDS, CHF, COPD, post STEMI, post arrest, post surgical, CABG, carotid, DKA, GI bleed, overdose, ETOH withdrawal, CVA with or without TNK, renal failure. No trauma or hemorrhagic strokes. The ICU is equipped with ventilators, BiPAP, HiFlow Nasal Cannula, and Nihon Koden monitors. Travelers will be first to float and may be assigned up to 5 patients.
  • Submission Requirements: Must include two referencesone supervisor reference from the most recent or current assignment and note if the clinician has previously worked for the organization.
