Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in an unspecified location. This role involves providing high-quality nursing care within the emergency department setting, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in accordance with hospital standards and unit policies.

Job Details

• Position Description: The ER Nurse will utilize the nursing process to care for assigned patients, complete assessments, and individualize plans of care following established guidelines. Responsibilities include addressing cultural and psychosocial factors, organizing and prioritizing nursing skills, and anticipating patient and unit needs. The role requires demonstrating a sound knowledge base in bio-psychosocial aspects and clinical pathways, delegating effectively, and exercising sound professional judgment. Documenting care accurately and facilitating patient teaching and discharge planning are essential. Collaboration with other disciplines and participation in educational activities support hospital objectives.
• Required Qualifications: Valid multi-state or State of Oklahoma Registered Nurse License; BLS, ACLS, & PALS certifications; NIHSS certification; 0 to 6 months of related experience; Epic experience; working knowledge of disease state management processes, bio-psychosocial models, and clinical pathways; effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills; ability to organize and prioritize work efficiently; detail-oriented with analytical skills.
• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: The position requires working directly with patients and healthcare professionals, demonstrating professional judgment, and adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
