Job Summary
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) Location: Unknown. This 26-week assignment involves providing specialized nursing care on a stepdown unit from intensive care with a wide variety of patient populations. The role supports a collaborative Virtual Nursing Model and requires an AK RN license in hand for auto-offer consideration, with an emphasis on high-quality patient care in a magnet-recognized facility.

Job Details

Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS are required.
Education/Experience: At least 1 year of nursing experience with a minimum of 1 year in a similar setting preferred.

Location Requirements: AK RN license must be obtained within 48 hours of signing and must be in hand for auto-offer.
Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week.
Position Responsibilities: Provide care on a stepdown unit with a wide variety of patient populations. Support a virtual nursing model, assisting with admissions, discharges, rounds, education, plans of care, and safety protocols. Manage cardiac, respiratory, neuro, renal, and complex medical-surgical patients, including those with high acuity conditions such as ETOH withdrawal, GIB, and others requiring higher levels of monitoring.
Float: Float rotation to lower acuity units, renal care, neuro, and MS may be required.
Additional Information: Virtual RN supports bedside care remotely alongside bedside RNs and CNAs; experience with Epic charting system preferred.
Submission Requirements: Candidates must respond to pre-screening questions regarding prior experience at Providence facilities and provide two references covering at least 1 year within the last 3 years.
