Job Summary
Long Term Care (LTC) registered nurse (RN) position in a 26-bed facility. This role involves acting as charge nurse, passing medications, and performing wound care in a long-term care setting. The position requires night shifts and offers an opportunity to provide quality patient care in a supportive environment.

Job Details

• Certifications: BLS Certification required.
• Education and Experience: Minimum of 2 years of LTC experience.
• Location Requirements: No specific location requirements beyond the facility's setting.
• Schedule: Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, totaling 36 hours per week.
• Other Qualifications: Candidates must have a valid license to submit.
• Additional Information:
  • No IVs or titratable drips are involved.
  • Care is provided to patients with diagnoses such as heart disease, diabetes, and dementia.
  • RN reads strips but none are required for their role.
  • No interdisciplinary team involvement, only LTC staff.
  • On-call physician availability after hours by phone.
  • No floating required.
  • Dress code: must be clean and presentable.
  • Orientation: 2-3 shifts specific to the unit.
  • RTO (Request for Time Off) needed upfront, with a maximum of 7 days within a 13-week contract.
  • Candidates may not be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated with the organization.
  • The facility utilizes MatrixCare/MatrixBSN for charting.
  • Cancellation policy allows the hospital to cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment.
