Job Summary
The organization is seeking a qualified Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (CCL) specialist for a temporary assignment in Bryan and College Station, Texas. This role involves supporting the cardiac, peripheral, neuro, and traumatic embolization patient care within a Level 3 acute care setting. The position requires collaboration with cross-trained staff to perform various procedures, monitor cases, and respond to emergent situations.
Job Details
- Schedule: 8-hour days, Monday through Friday, beginning at 0600 or 0630, with approximately 10-11 days of call per month including at least one weekend; call response time is within 30 minutes.
- Required Qualifications: Certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS); licensure to work in the specified state; two years of relevant experience; location requirements specify the candidate must be able to work on these schedules and meet all licensing and certification standards.
- Position Description: Support cardiac, peripheral, neuro, and traumatic embolization patient care. Prior pre-operative or post-operative experience preferred. Experience with interventional radiology, including emergent stroke cases, is beneficial. The role includes circulating, monitoring, and scrubbing technical cases with cross-trained staff. Candidates must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with flexible coverage for cancellations up to four shifts within a 13-week assignment. Charting is done via MEDITECH.
- Additional Information: Candidates should be familiar with procedures such as ICDs, Pacemakers, Ablations (A-Flutter, SVT, A-Fib), peripheral, and neuro cases. The environment involves collaboration across multiple specialized roles including RCIS and RT techs.
