Interventional Radiology RN Interventional Radiology Located in Oregon, this position involves providing specialized nursing care to patients undergoing invasive interventional procedures such as angiography, embolization, and cardiac catheterization. The role entails collaborating with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care throughout various minimally invasive interventions.

Job Details

  • Position Description: The Interventional Radiology/Cardiology RN provides specialized nursing care for patients undergoing invasive interventional procedures, including angiography, embolization, and cardiac catheterization. This role involves working collaboratively with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care. The RN is responsible for adherence to established standards of care, policies, and procedures, acting as a patient advocate, and supervising assigned personnel.
  • Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing; current RN license in the State of Oregon; current BLS and ACLS certification; at least one year of experience in critical care, emergency, cath lab, or IR; ability to work days shift for 8 hours, minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Interventional Radiology or Catheterization Laboratory settings, additional certifications such as RCIS or NIH Stroke Scale, and bilingual (English-Spanish) communication skills preferred.
  • Additional Information: The RN may be on call for the Interventional Unit as necessary. Responsibilities include administering medications, assisting with procedures, monitoring patient vital signs, maintaining sterile technique, and coordinating with the team to manage contrast allergies and other clinical considerations. The role also involves room turnover, managing supplies, and ensuring equipment readiness.
