Job Summary
An ICU Registered Nurse (RN) position is available in Lexington, NC. This role involves providing care for critically ill patients with conditions such as ARDS, sepsis, COPD, DKA, and stroke. The nurse will work in a 16-bed intensive care unit within a teaching system, supporting a diverse patient population with a focus on critical thinking and advanced clinical skills.

Job Details

• Position Description: ICU RN supporting a 16-bed unit with an average daily census of 10 patients, including MICU-type patients, with a RN-to-patient ratio of 2:1.
• Required Qualifications: RN license, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications, 2+ years of ICU experience preferred, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS recommended.
• Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Support within the department includes CNA assistance, patient care duties such as ADLs, transport, and some reception duties. The unit features advanced technology including EMR, Alaris IV pumps, GE monitors, and equipment such as Bair Hugger and Verathon Bladder Scanner. Orientation is 2 days departmental. The unit culture values strong, experienced nurses willing to mentor new grads.
