Job Summary
PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) Registered Nurse (RN) Northeastern Nevada. This role involves providing specialized postoperative and preoperative patient care in a rural hospital setting. The position requires clinical expertise in various surgical specialties with a focus on pediatric to geriatric patient populations.

Job Details

Location: Northeastern Nevada
Position: RN (Preoperative, Postoperative, PACU) in ENT, General, Orthopedic, Gynecology, Obstetrics, Ophthalmology, Podiatry, and Cath Lab specialties
Shift: Days, 10-hour shifts, with weekly scheduled hours of 40, including call requirements (one day during the week and one weekend per month)
Required Qualifications: RN certification, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), 2 years of relevant experience, valid licensing, and ability to perform IV skills and work in Pre-op, PACU, and Phase I units
Preferred Qualifications: Previous travel assignment, 2+ years of experience in an acute hospital setting, rural healthcare experience
Additional Information: The role involves working with a patient population ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics, with a focus on common diagnoses such as total joint surgeries, laparoscopic procedures, thyroidectomy, hysterectomy, D&C, C-section, and cath lab pacemaker procedures. The unit operates with a fast-paced environment requiring adaptable and efficient clinical skills.
