Job Summary
Medical Surgical Oncology (MS ONC) Registered Nurse (RN) position located in Birmingham, AL. This role involves providing specialized nursing care within a comprehensive healthcare facility, focusing on oncology, palliative, post-operative bariatric, and medical/surgical overflow patients. Job Details

  • Position: Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Specialty: Medical Surgical Oncology Floor (MS ONC)
  • Location: Birmingham, AL
  • Schedule: Nights, 3 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certifications must be current and from American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Qualifications: Must have at least 2+ years of experience in a clinical setting. Education requirements include a valid RN license.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in acute care settings, familiarity with oncology, palliative, post-op bariatric, and medical/surgical overflow patients.
  • Additional Information: The unit utilizes basic medical equipment such as computers, IV pumps, vital sign machines, and electronic medical records (EMR) via EPIC. Candidates should be responsible, dependable, compassionate, hardworking, patient-oriented, and kind. Scrubs and scrub jackets in navy are required; only scrubs attire is permitted.
  • Submission Requirements: Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States and able to meet the minimum clinical qualifications and experience criteria for the role.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
