Job Summary
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Nurse in Spokane, WA this role involves providing specialized care for cardiac and vascular patients within a 34-bed hospital. The position supports patients with Cardiac Telemetry, post-operative open-heart surgery, and vascular care, requiring a calm demeanor and strong team collaboration to ensure quality patient outcomes.
Job Details
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS; Education Requirement: No minimum years of experience specified, but 2 years of strong cardiac or PCU experience preferred
- Location: Spokane, WA
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid licensure and certifications (BLS, ACLS, NIHSS); experience caring for cardiovascular patients, with the ability to interpret rhythms and manage cardiac drips such as nitro, heparin, Amiodarone, Cardizem, dopamine, dobutamine
- Additional Information: Support within the department includes CNA support, float charge nurse, flex nurse, hospitalist, and RT coverage; orientation involves 12-hour unit-specific shifts; unit expects support for every other weekend rotation and 2 of 3 holidays; no on-call requirement but opportunity to pick up extra shifts; scrub color is any solid color, no graphics or logos; parking available through Town Park.
