Job Summary
PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) Nurse in a healthcare setting. This role involves caring for pre- and post-surgical patients within a busy acute care environment, requiring recent experience with Cerner electronic medical records systems, and proficiency in managing patients recovering from anesthesia. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic team-oriented unit on dayshift schedules.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education, and Experience: BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications; minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a PACU or similar setting; recent experience with Cerner electronic medical records systems within the past 6 months.
• Schedule: 4x10 hour shifts (start time around 0800) on days, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. Some call shifts are required, typically 6 per month, including night and weekend shifts.
• Additional Job Requirements: Pass/fail Simulation Laboratory assessment on Day 1 of orientation. Prophecy Dysrhythmia Exam required 24-48 hours prior to acceptance, with a maximum of 2 attempts. Must have recent Cerner EMR experience.
• Clinical Responsibilities: Providing pre- and post-surgical patient care, monitoring patient recovery from anesthesia, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
• Other Requirements: Shift specific orientation provided, rotation of call shifts, and involvement in unit-specific protocols and procedures.
