Long Term Care Registered Nurse (RN) Alaska This position involves providing skilled nursing care to residents in a long-term care facility. The role is suited for experienced RNs with at least one year of LTC experience, holding an active Alaska license, and willing to work a rotating schedule of 12-hour shifts. The assignment offers flexibility in scheduling and duration, with opportunities for travel and varied shifts.

Job Details

• Position Type: Long Term Care RN
• Location: Alaska
• Certifications and Education Requirements: BLS certification, Alaska license in hand
• Years of Experience: 1 year of LTC experience preferred; 0 years required for consideration, with a minimum of 1 year experience recommended
• Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 48 hours per week
• Shift Details: 4x12 variable shifts or 3x12 variable shifts traveler's choice; occasional exceptions for urgent staffing needs, no pass/pass pass/pass pass/pass pass/pass
• Additional Qualifications: Must have LTC experience, obtain Alaska Food Worker Certification on-site during orientation (one-time $10 fee), comfortable working with adult and geriatric patients with conditions such as dementia, Alzheimer's, TBIP, and others; experience with oxygen administration, peripheral line care, isolation precautions/PPE, accuchecks, implanted glucose sensors, PEG tube feedings, Duopa pumps, IV hydration, phlebotomy, peritoneal dialysis, respiratory treatments, wound care, and electronic fetal monitoring is preferred if applicable.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional information: Candidate must be willing to work at least two major winter holidays and accommodate requested time off declared during submission. RTO considerations are limited based on contract length, with specific policies regarding work and holiday requirements.
