Job Summary
Medical Surgical Neurology Nurse (MS NEURO) Neenah, WI. This position involves providing specialized care on a neurology-focused surgical unit within a healthcare provider. The role demands a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) with recent experience in neuro or stepdown intensive care to support patient recovery and rehabilitation.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: WI RN (or compact) License, AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, NIHSS, Associate Degree or Certificate; minimum 3 years of RN experience with at least 1 year in Medical Surgical Neuro and 1 prior travel contract strongly preferred.
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts (days) from 05:30 AM to 06:00 PM, working every other weekend, with holiday rotation based on unit needs and a guaranteed 36 hours per week.
• Clinical Responsibilities: Caring for neurology patients, including stroke, post-operative spinal and brain surgeries, trauma cases, and post-op care. The unit is 16 beds with a focus on neurology, trauma, and surgical post-op recovery.
• Additional Information: Candidates should have experience in stroke, post-op back/spine/cervical surgeries, and be proficient with EPIC charting within the last year. The team operates with a staff ratio of 1:1 to 1:4 during days and 1:1 to 1:5 during nights, with cross-utilization of LPNs and Patient Care Technicians. The ability to manage change, work resiliently, and efficiently handle a fast-paced environment is essential.
• Travel Experience: Previous travel experience is strongly preferred.
• Float: Float rotation may be required within the facility within skillset and to other facilities within a 60-mile radius.
