Job Summary
Medical Surgical Float Nurse, located at the healthcare provider's facility, will provide patient care across various medical-surgical units. This role involves floating between units, supporting the organizations clinical needs with a focus on surgical and medical patients, including those with conditions such as CHF, CVA, SOB, and diabetic issues.

Job Details

• Position Description: Medical Surgical Float Nurse responsible for providing care in units with diverse patient populations, including surgical (total joints, fractures, bariatric, urology, general, etc.) and medical (CHF, CVA, SOB, diabetic issues) patients.
• Required Qualifications: Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, two years of relevant experience, and licensure as an RN.
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts on days, with every other weekend and holiday requirements, totaling at least 48 hours per week.
• Additional Information: The assignment involves unit-specific orientation, travel CBO (Cross Country Business Office), unit-specific float checklist, and charting system EPIC. The role includes floating responsibilities, with scrub dress code to be any scrub color.
