Job Summary
Medical Surgical with Telemetry nurse position in en_US supporting a surgical inpatient unit with a diverse patient population, including orthopedic and bariatric patients. The role involves night shifts and requires interpreting and reading strips independently, with a focus on patient safety and quality care.

• Shift Hours: 12 hours per shift
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 36.0
• Certification and Education Requirements: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing; recent acute Medical Surgical with Telemetry nursing experience of at least 2 years; CPR certification; ACLS certification; Epic experience required; EMR Epic required; BLS and other relevant certifications as applicable.
• Responsibilities include providing high-quality patient care, interpreting telemetry strips without tele tech assistance, and completing testings during onboarding, including ECG/telemetry and medications assessments.
• Schedule: 12H Night shift, 7 p.m. - 7 a.m., weekend and holiday rotation.
• Submission Requirements: BILH coversheet required at time of submission.
• Additional Information: Support unit is a newly renovated 25-bed Medical Surgical inpatient unit with private rooms, equipped for orthopedic and bariatric patients; unit does not have tele techs, requiring RNs to read and interpret their own strips; pass/fail ECG/telemetry and medications testing via Zoom prior to acceptance, with a strict passing score of 85%.
