Description

Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit Medical (ICU Medical) registered nurse position is available in a hospital setting located in San Antonio, TX. This role involves providing critical care services in a designated ICU unit, with a focus on patients requiring advanced life support and specialized monitoring. The assignment spans from October 19, 2026, to January 18, 2027, with a night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.

Job Details:

  • Location: San Antonio, TX
  • Unit: ICU (Intensive Care Unit)
  • Shift Time: Nights, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Assignment Length: 13 weeks
  • Required Qualifications: Current RN license in Texas (temporary licenses are no longer accepted); 2+ years of critical care experience; 2+ years of hospital/travel nursing experience; BLS certification; ACLS certification; excellent documentation skills with Meditech electronic health record system experience preferred.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with RotoProne positioning; Certified in CRRT (Prismaflex); ability to float to other ICU units within the system as needed.
  • Special Skills: Ability to perform procedures such as central line placement, bronchoscopy, bedside tracheostomy care; familiarity with Meditech system preferred.
  • Additional Information: Schedule includes working four weekends per four-week block; floating to other ICU units is required based on census and operational needs; strict adherence to dress code and body art policies; no acrylic or chipped nail polish allowed; tattoos must be covered whenever possible; visible piercings other than earrings are prohibited.
