Job Summary
Pre-Operative (Pre Op) Registered Nurse position available in a healthcare facility located in Fredericksburg, TX. This role involves providing patient care in a preoperative and post-anesthesia care unit (PACU), supporting surgical procedures, and ensuring patient safety and comfort. The position requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.
Job Details
- Location: Fredericksburg, TX
- Unit Information: PreOp/PACU with 4 preoperative bays, 6 recovery bays, 6 restore/PCI rooms, 5 operating rooms, 1 catheterization lab, 2 endoscopy suites, and 12 outpatient rooms
- Schedule: Dayshift, 8-hour shifts, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
- Start Date: 09/28/2026
- End Date: 12/28/2026
- Required Qualifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications; valid RN license; minimum of 0 years of experience; available to start on 09/28/2026 and complete assignment by 12/28/2026
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Meditech electronic medical record system; regional block assistance experience
- Additional Information: Must have a flexible, positive attitude, be a team player, autonomous, and versatile. Candidates must be able to work within the unit's guidelines and dress code, including hospital-provided scrubs and hospital-dedicated shoes.
- Shift Details: 8-hour shifts, 1 weekend call per month (Friday, Saturday, or Sunday), plus 1 weekday call per month
