Medical Surgical Floor Registered Nurse (RN) Location: unspecified. This position involves providing patient care within a Medical Surgical unit, with a focus on medicine, surgery, cardiac, and neurology populations. The RN will be responsible for accommodating diverse patient needs, collaborating with healthcare teams, and ensuring quality care delivery.

Position Description:
The RN will work in a Medical Surgical unit requiring a minimum of two years of experience in Med Surg, telemetry, or Progressive Care Unit (PCU). Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, specifically EPIC, is essential. Candidates must have at least one year of travel nursing experience and one year of experience in a level 1 adult trauma designated hospital within the past five years. The unit typically functions with staff-to-patient ratios of 1:4-6, providing care for populations including medicine, surgery, cardiac, and neurology.
The RN will be assigned to the vacancy that best matches their experience, with a schedule of three 12-hour shifts per week, totaling 36 hours. The shifts are during nights, with work every other weekend, and the role involves floating to other equivalent units as needed. -
Required Qualifications:
Valid driver's license or state ID, a professional UCH resume, a minimum of two years of RN experience in Med Surg, telemetry, or PCU, EPIC EMR/charting experience, at least one year of travel nursing experience, and one year of recent experience in a level 1 adult trauma designated hospital. -
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with adult trauma care and familiarity with 1:4-6 patient ratios. -
Schedule:
Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week. -
Additional Information:
The RN may be assigned to vacancies within the Med Surg, telemetry, or PCU units, with responsibilities including but not limited to monitoring patient conditions, administering medications, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
