Job Details

  • Position Description:
    This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and standards of professional nursing practice. The role is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by the individual and others under their supervision. It involves utilizing specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills to assess data and plan, provide, and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients.

  • Required Qualifications:
    Current, valid RN license in the state of practice, or a temporary/interim RN license, or compact RN licensure. BLS certification is required. Experience in an acute care hospital setting for a minimum of one year within the past 12 months, specifically in the intensive care unit.

  • Schedule:
    Day shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.

  • Additional Information:
    Provides direct patient care based on physician orders and nursing care plans. Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, documents all nursing activities, and participates in ongoing education and quality improvement initiatives. In some roles, may supervise staff and work flow within the department.
