Job Summary
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) registered nurse position available in the region. The role involves providing specialized care for adult patients with acute and chronic conditions, with assignments at multiple facilities within the region, requiring flexibility to float among different units as needed.

Job Details

• Location: Region, primarily at a healthcare provider, with floating to other facilities within the region as required.
• Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours each, from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Current American Heart Association (AHA) certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS). Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU).
• Responsibilities include managing patients with diagnoses such as pneumonia, Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS), Covid-19 infection, hypertension, angina, cardiac catheterization patients, and alcohol withdrawal.
• Experience or skills required include PCU experience, ability to titrate drips such as Amiodarone, Diltiazem, Dopamine, Nitroglycerin, Lasix, and Dobutamine.
• Additional information includes unit-specific orientation, the use of equipment such as CPAP, BIPAP, high-flow oxygen, and remote monitor tech with RN approval.
• Shift-specific notes: Possibility to flex to day shifts; required to work every other weekend and two winter holidays; standby may be required, and floating is mandatory as part of the role.
