Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse in a healthcare facility located in the area. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for critically ill patients according to professional standards and organizational policies. The position entails delivering high-quality, compassionate care while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to meet patient needs.

Job Details

  • Position Description: The ICU Nurse assesses patients physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs. They review patient history, physicals, diagnostics, and laboratory data, reporting abnormal results to physicians and caregivers. They formulate and implement individualized care plans, including discharge planning, based on assessment data and input from patients, families, and the healthcare team. Responsibilities include providing direct patient care, delegating activities, promoting continuity of care, evaluating patient responses, documenting care activities, and participating in professional development and quality improvement initiatives.

  • Required Qualifications: Current valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice or within a compact licensing agreement, along with Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Experience in an acute care hospital setting within the past 12 months is desired.

  • Schedule: Day shifts, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.

  • Additional Information: The role may require working in a fast-paced environment that demands physical agility, proper body mechanics, and effective communication skills. The position may involve lifting up to 75 pounds and requires adherence to safety protocols.
