Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Nurse position available in a healthcare facility. The role involves caring for critically ill or surgical pediatric patients within an acute care setting, requiring specialized skills and certifications to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details
- Location: The position is based in an acute care environment within a healthcare facility.
- Required Qualifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification, PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support); 2 years of relevant experience; NYS License; Shift Hours: Nights, 12 hours; Minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in pediatric critical care, pediatric surgical patient care.
- Responsibilities: Providing direct patient care for critically ill and surgical pediatric patients, monitoring vital signs and clinical status, executing clinical procedures, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality care.
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with at least 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: This role is traveler friendly and often extended; unit-specific orientation provided.
