Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in a 34-bed emergency department offering care to patients of all ages and diagnoses. The position involves providing comprehensive assessment, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care including direct patient care, patient and family education, and transitions of care within an acute setting. The role requires delivering holistic, individualized care in a high-paced environment.

Job Details

  • Position Description: Emergency Room Nurse managing a diverse patient population in a semi-stroke receiving center with no trauma cases and a patient ratio of 4:1. Responsible for assessments, patient care, and care transitions in an acute setting.
  • Required Qualifications: CA RN Licensure, BLS (AHA), ACLS, PALS, two years of ER experience, EPIC experience, and a minimum of 36 hours per week on the night shift (3 x 12-hour shifts from 6:00 PM to 4:30 PM).
  • Certifications must be current and uploaded.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing a variety of emergency conditions including trauma, stroke, respiratory emergencies, and psychiatric cases.
  • Additional Information: The position involves working nights every other weekend with no on-call requirement. Complete all onboarding labs within 3-5 days of contract signing. Candidates must provide 7 years of work history verification. RTO requests are limited to 7 days per contract, with holiday RTO restrictions applying.
  • Submission Requirements: Applications should include valid CA RN licensure, relevant certifications, two references within the past year, and accurate work history documentation.
