Job Summary
The ORT (Operating Room Technician) in the Surgical Technician/Operating Room Technology specialty is based in a suburban hospital environment. This role involves supporting various surgical procedures, including Total Joints, Orthopedic Spine, Neuro, ENT, Ophthalmology (vitrectomy), and robotics. The position requires current OR experience and certification, with a preference for candidates with 4 to 5 years of relevant clinical experience.

Job Details

• Certifications/Education Requirements: Must have CPR certification; completed a surgical technician program (certification not required).
• Experience: Minimum of 4 to 5 years of current OR experience, with familiarity in Total Joints, Orthopedic Spine, Neuro, ENT, Ophthalmology (vitrectomy), and robotics procedures.
• Location Requirements: No specific geographic restrictions are specified.
• Schedule: Dayshift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, totaling 40 hours weekly, with a rotating day off.
• Additional Responsibilities: Will work call three times within an 8-week period, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Experience Requirement: Minimum of 0 years in the role, but applicants should have significant current OR experience as specified.
• Special Notes: Previous employment within any Johns Hopkins facilities must be noted in work history and verified prior to offer. Candidates must have worked there at least one full year if previously employed, whether as staff, PRN, or travel.
