Job Summary

Neuro ICU (Intensive Care Unit Neurological), located in the area, is seeking a highly skilled Health Care Professional for a night shift position. This role involves providing specialized neurological intensive care for adult patients, with a focus on stroke, post-neurosurgery, and traumatic brain injury management. The position requires clinical expertise and experience in neuro-critical care settings.

Job Details

Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
Education Requirements: Valid license in state or compact license in hand at time of submittal.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of ICU Neuro experience required; travel experience preferred.
Location Requirements: Must be licensed in state or a required jurisdiction; no specific geographic restrictions except certain counties specified for residency.
Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Responsibilities include blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care/management, CVA/Stroke management, external ventricular drain (EVD) management, hypothermia protocol, ICP monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, lumbar drains, post-neurosurgery care, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, and utilization of specialized equipment.
Additional information: Interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary.
Submission requirements: Must complete core onboarding items/labs within 48 hours of contract signing; modules are onsite during orientation.
Float: ICU/IMC/Tele float rotation may be required.
