Job Summary
The Healthcare Provider specializing in IV Vascular Access in the specified location is responsible for delivering expert nursing care focused on pediatric vascular access. This role involves independently providing patient care, utilizing evidence-based practices, and collaborating closely with the healthcare team to ensure safe, patient-centered outcomes for patients ranging from infants to adults.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Current California Registered Nurse (RN) License; American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); minimum of three years of pediatric vascular access nursing experience, including neonates; peripheral intravenous (IV) insertion with ultrasound skills; dressing change experience; proficiency with clinical equipment, computers, and technology; experience guiding unlicensed assistive personnel; BSN preferred.
  • Preferred Qualifications: PICC insertion experience highly preferred.
  • Additional Information: The nurse recognizes the patient as the partner in care, manages complex patient care assignments, and participates in building consensus and resolving conflicts within the care team. The role requires evaluating and applying best current evidence, minimizing harm through system effectiveness, and serving as a resource for safety concerns. The nurse engages in problem-solving, conflict resolution, and system improvements to enhance patient safety and care quality.
