This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care for patients in a hospital setting, with a focus on medical surgical and telemetry units. The position requires delivering high-quality patient care following established protocols and ensuring patient safety throughout the shift.

Job Details

• Shift Time: Nights
• Shift Hours: 12
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 36
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS (American Heart Association) active at the time of submission
• Education/Experience: 24 months of current medical surgical and/or telemetry experience in a hospital or medical center setting required; 24 months minimum of relevant nursing experience
• License Requirements: Active Iowa (IA) license or multi-state (compact) license required
• Skills Checklist: Must be specific to medical surgical/telemetry discipline
• Responsibilities include reading and measuring strips, managing patients with insulin, Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone drips, and accurately documenting patient care using electronic charting systems
• Submission requires a professional reference from within 24 months, a valid drivers license, and certifications
• Orientation is scheduled for 9/14, 9/21, and 9/28 with sooner start dates prioritized
• First-time travelers accepted
