Job Summary
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) Location: unspecified. This position involves providing high-quality nursing care within an acute care division, with responsibilities including caring for post-Cath Lab patients and managing various patient statuses. The role requires flexibility to float to Medical Surgical and Intensive Care Unit settings as needed.
Job Details
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid licensure to submit, BLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross), NIHSS, and ACLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross); at least 2 years of clinical experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with PCU/Telemetry, Post-Cath Lab, and acute care procedures.
- Additional Information: The unit has 21 beds with a patient ratio of 1:4. Must float as needed to Medical Surgical units and ICU for PCU patient status only. Up to 2 extra mandatory shifts may be required every 6 weeks.
- Charting System: EPIC.
- Shift Notes: Every other weekend, first to float, with up to 2 mandatory shifts every 6 weeks.
