Job Summary
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) Location: Not specified. This position involves providing specialized care in a Level 1 Obstetric and Nursery setting, supporting approximately 18-20 births per month. The role requires managing labor, postpartum, and newborn care while following AWHONN guidelines and working within a collaborative team environment.

Job Details

• Position Description: The RN will be responsible for independent labor, postpartum, and newborn patient care, including titration of drips such as Pitocin, Magnesium, and occasionally insulin. The role includes triaging obstetric patients, with future potential to scrub or circulate C-sections.
• Required Qualifications: BLS, NRP, ACLS, Electronic Fetal Heart Monitoring (EFM) certifications; minimum of 2 years of OB experience; valid RN license; experience with EFM documentation and in a Level 1 Obstetric and Nursery environment; located within the area; minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Schedule: Shifts are 12 hours, either days or nights, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. There are 2 scheduled weekend shifts per 4-week cycle, every other holiday, and 2-3 night call shifts with a response time of one hour.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Neopuff-T Piece equipment, competence in EFM documentation, and flexibility to float to all departments on low census days as needed.
• Additional Information: The unit is supported by in-house anesthesiology during the day and on-call at night; in-house neonatologists and surgeons are available with rapid response capability; float to all departments may be required.
